Ahead of Irina Shayk's birthday today, E! spoke to a source about what Shayk's dynamic is like with Bradley Cooper, her ex-boyfriend and father of her 4-year-old daughter Lea de Seine,
and just how well their co-parenting arrangement is working following their 2019 split.
There's no drama between them at all, the source said. “They have a very friendly relationship," the source said, adding they live blocks away from each other in New York City and regularly spend time together as a family of three. “It's not tense at all. It's always extremely cordial.”
Shayk spoke to ELLE last March a little about Cooper. She called him “the most amazing dad.” With co-parenting, “I never understood the term co-parenting,” she said. “When I’m with my daughter, I’m 100 percent a mother, and when she’s with her dad, he’s 100 percent her dad. Co-parenting is parenting.”
She added of the public interest in her and Cooper's previous four-year romantic relationship, “My past relationship, it’s something that belongs to me, and it’s private. It’s just a piece of my inner self that I don’t want to give away.”
Shayk said she doesn't read news stories about herself or follow commentary about her online. “I don’t read what is out there,” she said. “Honestly, I’m too busy raising a child. If they want to write articles [about me], they’re doing their job. I’m concentrating on my life and my friends. The rest is just noise.”
