T
he day in which we live is a rather interesting one. One moment, someone catches our attention by making a never-before-heard beauty statement, and the next, that same look gets replicated
across social media. While we totally support being inspired by others, “copying and pasting” is certainly a no-no. Which is why last week’s diverse beauty looks were refreshing and definitely welcome.
The Looks
Bare faces got the week off to a promising start, and you’ll agree that few things can scream unique quite like a natural look. American singer Kelly Rowland as well as actress, Leyna Bloom, both championed the cause. Rowland was spotted 100% makeup-free lip-synching to her own song, but gawd did her skin glow! She held her hair in a sleek centerpart hairdo that kept the focus on her skin. On the other hand, Bloom appeared camera-ready grinning from chin-to-chin as she put her makeup-free face forward.
They say the eyes are the mirror to the soul, so Chloe Kitembo played them up enough to give you a sneak-peek. The YouTube star opted for dark eyeshadow along with heavily-lined eyes for a dramatic effect. However, and correctly so, she kept the rest of her makeup subtle.
Hair
Makeup wasn’t the only area that stood out last week as diverse beauty looks shone. The hair category was also on point! Case in point was Taraji P Henson who literally looked 20 years younger in coils updo featuring sleek baby hair details.
