You can now enjoy Lady Gaga's Patrizia Reggiani accent from the comfort of your own home: House of Gucci is now available for purchase online. While you can't stream the film
on major platforms yet, you can buy it digitally from places like Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, and Apple TV. Viewers seeking a physical copy can get DVD and Blu-Ray versions starting Feb. 22.
Based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden, the Ridley Scott-directed drama focuses on the murder of Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver), grandson of the brand's founder, Guccio Gucci. The slain heir's ex-wife, Reggiani, was later convicted of plotting his killing. Joining Gaga and Driver in the cast are slew of other Hollywood heavy-hitters, including Salma Hayek, Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, and Jared Leto.
Given its juicy premise and A-list roster, it's no wonder the film is gunning for some wins this award season. Gaga has already earned the Palm Springs International Film Festival's Icon Award and was selected Best Actress by the New York Film Critics Circle. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe. Fans are also expecting her to get an Oscar nod when nominations are announced next week.
House of Gucci first hit theaters on Nov. 24, timed for Thanksgiving weekend. The digital, DVD, and Blu-Ray editions, arriving over two months later, also include exclusive behind-the-scenes material, including videos with Scott, Gaga, and costume designer Janty Yates.
The film's arrival on streaming platforms remains unclear, but there's speculation that it'll eventually be available on Paramount+ thanks to a deal between Paramount and Epix, which is owned by House of Gucci's distributor MGM. When we finally get a streaming date, though, we'll get our watch parties ready ASAP.
