Watch Nicki Minaj's Spot-On Adele Impression

James Corden hosted Nicki Minaj on his show last night, and the rapper revealed a hidden talent of hers: imitating Adele's accent. After discussing Adele performing Minaj's verse on Kanye West's

“Monster” on Carpool Karaoke, Corden asked Minaj to do her own impression of Adele.

Minaj fully committed to the role, discussing why she shaped her cockney accent the way she did to reflect Adele's British dialect.

It's worth the watch below. It's incredibly spot-on. She also discussed rumors that she and 50 Cent were doing a movie together in the clip when Corden complimented her on her acting skills. The possibility is very much there: “I didn't say in the works, I said in talks,” she stressed.

Minaj once sparked rumors she and Adele were collaborating in 2019. The rapper was asked by Entertainment Tonight if she and Adele were working on anything, and she jokingly replied, “Yes and yes, yes and yes, wooo hoo! But Adele made me swear to secrecy that I'm not allowed to tell anyone that I'm working with her. And that we already shot a video. And it's an epic song! Ahh!”

Minaj's remarks were taken seriously, and the rapper later clarified on her Twitter that she had been making a joke. “Omg guys ?? I thought everyone could clearly see I was being sarcastic,” she wrote. “Shit! Now I have to go to Adele’s studio & steal some files. Who’s in the UK? I got a job for you ?”
