Kanye West Made a Jab at Pete Davidson and Sampled Kim Kardashian's SNL Monologue at His Donda 2 Event

Kanye West hosted his Donda 2 listening event in Miami last night, and apparently while his divorce from Kim Kardashian was not a major focus on the album, it still got

some attention lyrically. Varietyand Billboard point out that West sampled Kardashian's Saturday Night Live monologue where she praises him at the start of his track “Sci-Fi.” Specifically, he used the part where she said, “I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he is the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.”

More strikingly, West took aim at Kardashian's new romance with Davidson again in his new track “Security.” He rapped, seemingly about Davidson, “Nevеr take the family picture off thе fridge/Never stand between a man and his kids/Y'all ain't got enough security for this/Y'all ain't got enough security for this/I put your security at risk/I make your security acquit/Like, ‘We don't get paid enough for this.’”

West shared texts last week where Kardashian expressed her concern about Davidson's safety and asked West to tell his fans not to hurt her boyfriend. West obliged, though he disturbingly told his fans that Davidson may still have him to face. “UPON MY WIFE'S REQUEST PLEASE NOBODY DO ANYTHING PHYSICAL TO SKETE IM GOING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION MYSELF,” he wrote.

In one text message screenshot that West posted that he has since removed, Kardashian wrote to him, “Why can't you keep any of our conversations private???”

He replied, “Cause I got a text from my favorite person in the world. I'm your number one fan. Why wouldn't I tell everyone!!!!”

Kardashian was not at West's album event. She has not commented on it on her social media. E! was told last week that Kardashian is generally trying to disregard West's public comments about her and pleas to get back together. “Kim is trying to ignore Kanye's social media posts and pleas to get back together,” one source said. “She is really happy right now and is having a lot of fun. She likes where she is at in life and is loving this new chapter.”
