Nigerian music star, Timaya has been arrested hours after he was accused of almost killing a young lady. On Wednesday, March 2, an Instagram user Osinubi Omowumi, who claimed to be the sister of the victim, accused the music star of ramming his car into her sister after she challenged him for damaging her car.

In the latest development, men of the Nigeria Police Force stormed the residence of the music star on Thursday morning. The singer was seen explaining to the officers what transpired during the alleged hit and run incident. A few minutes later, he was whisked away by the armed police officers. Omowumi accused the music star of causing severe injuries to her sister. She also accused him of blocking her on Instagram when she tried to reach out to him.

Jennifer Hudson is officially heading to daytime TV with her eponymous talk show premiering on FOX in fall 2022. The Jennifer Hudson Show will run for one hour and will be produced in Los Angeles by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Telepictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, according to reports.

News of Hudson’s daytime talk show first started to bubble up in November 2021 after it was confirmed that the superstar would be getting her own talk show series. It’s been a major year for the talented singer and actress already as the 40-year-old won big at the NAACP Image Awards last month after being crowned the NAACP Entertainer Of The Year award.

Fresh off a brilliant year in which he achieved several impressive accolades, including amassing over 14 millions streams on Spotify alone, amapiano pioneer, Mr JazziQ is already making some major moves in a bid to extend his run. His latest big move seems to have been securing a placement from multi-platinum-selling and multi-award-winning singer and record producer Ty Dolla $ign.

Two weeks ago, Mr JazziQ seemed to be manifesting this moment when he Tweeted: “?? international feature for my album ??” Last night, he quote-retweeted that post with a screen shot showing an incoming iMessage from Ty Dolla Sign with the caption: “What???” As amapiano continues to go global, this may be yet another huge moment in the genre’s rapid growth. Fans are already licking their chops at the prospect of hearing Ty Dolla on an amapiano record.

4. Ukraine opens hotline for Africans fleeing the war

The Ukrainian government has launched an emergency hotline for Africans and Asians fleeing Russia’s invasion, according to the foreign minister. It follows widespread allegations of racism faced by Africans attempting to leave the country.

Numerous African students in Ukraine have shared stories of being blocked by Ukrainian security agents from leaving the country. In a tweet, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said the authorities were “working intensively” to ensure the safety and passage of African and Asian students.

On Monday, Russian football clubs and national teams were suspended from all competitions “until further notice” by FIFA and UEFA. The union said it would file one lawsuit against football’s world and European governing bodies, demanding Russia’s men’s and women’s national teams be allowed to compete.

Russia wants its national teams reinstated to play their men’s World Cup play-off matches next month and the women’s team once again included in this summer’s Euro 2022 competition in England. The union also said it could ask for the suspension of competitions they were originally scheduled to compete in if unsuccessful.
