Days after her fellow Blackpink bandmate Jisoo made a splash at Dior's Paris Fashion Week show, Jennie stepped out for her big moment at Chanel's. The brand ambassador wore an all
black ensemble from the house, including a crop top, micro skirt, coat, layered necklaces, and a mini Chanel purse. Her hair was styled into a braided crown.
Jennie shared her own outfit shots, writing, “Obsessed with this look?” on her Instagram.
Jennie opened up to ELLE Koreain January about being seen as an icon. “It is a great honor to be an inspiration and icon to someone,” she said, via Soompi. “When people describe me with these words, I feel like I need to show a better side of me.”
Lovingly nicknamed “human Chanel,” by her Blackpink fans, Jennie attended the brand's spring/summer fashion show in October wearing a red crop top and skirt.
All the members of Blackpink are ambassadors for major French fashion houses. Jisoo reps Dior; Rosé reps Saint Laurent; and Lisa reps Celine.
Jennie spoke to ELLEin September 2020 about how the four were close from the very start of their music journeys as trainees. “We all lived together since the beginning,” Jennie said. “After our training time was over, we’d go home together and order food, talk about how scary the teachers were, how the work was too much. And just like how kids at school become friends, we just got along. It was very easy—we didn’t really have to try.”
