TMZ may be proclaiming that Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers are “obvs” dating again based on their multiple trips together, but the reality is a little more complicated, a source told
E! this week. Woodley and Rodgers haven't fully rekindled after their breakup and ended engagement last month, but it's looking promising.
“[They] aren't getting too far ahead of themselves, but they are very much enjoying this time together,” the source said. With Rodgers in between football seasons and Woodley between acting projects, “They can really focus on rebuilding their relationship.”
Their relationship right now is “working out” for them. “They've been spending a lot of time together and are happy with where things are,” the source said. “They haven't had a lot of down time and have been traveling all over seeing friends and visiting different cities. They don't stay in one place for long.”
People and Us Weekly previously reported that Woodley was hesitant about dating Rodgers again. “Shailene doesn’t know if she wants to get back together yet,” a source told Us Weeklyon March 8. Rodgers, the source said, is set on them trying again. “He thinks their differences don’t matter and that they would make a great fit,” the source said. (Woodley and Rodgers have major political differences, with Woodley the more liberal of the two. Rodgers publicly apologized to Woodley a month ago for his misleading comments about his COVID vaccination status that sparked scandal.) He’s “very in love” with Woodley and “trying to get her back.”
A source told Peoplethat same day, “They both had intense work schedules in the fall, and it wasn’t possible for them to focus on their relationship. Now when Aaron’s [football] season is over, he wants to give it another try. He thinks Shailene is very special. She is more hesitant though.”
