Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo has locked her comments section on Instagram following online bullying after winning a Grammy award. The music star won the Best Global Music Album for her critically acclaimed album, “Mother Nature.” After she shared a photo of herself with her award, several disgruntled people who weren’t happy about their favorites losing the award took to her comment section, where they made derogatory comments.
The music star was in the same category as Nigerian singer Wizkid, Femi Kuti and son, Made, Rocky Dawuni and Daniel Ho & Friends. On social media, it was reported that most of the degrading comments came from fans of Nigerian music star, Wizkid.
Style Rave does not condone bullying in any form.

Kenya has been hit hard by an unprecedented fuel shortage that is threatening to grind the country’s economy to a halt. The crisis has seen a number of fuel stations shut down, tens of travelers and motorists stranded, prices of goods going up across the country and public transport vehicles grounded. Thousands of jobs and businesses are at stake as citizens feel the pinch of the shortage that has lasted for about a week.
Andrew Kamau, the principal secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining, attributed the crisis to the delay in the payment of 13 billion shillings (about 112.95 million U.S. dollars) subsidy funds to oil marketers by the government. Kenya introduced a fuel subsidy scheme on April 14, 2021, that sees the government pay oil marketers a certain percentage of fuel costs to cushion the public and stabilize the market. Joseph Karanja, the chairman of Kenya Independent Petroleum Distributors Association (KIPEDA), said the delay in paying oil marketers has seen many of them with no money to buy new stocks.

“You don’t die from prostate cancer, at least not in 90 percent of the cases. It is usually other underlying diseases that kill you. But I had a pretty aggressive form, got irradiated 25 times. Then you have a lot of management to do in order to go through life.”
