Kate Middleton Shares New Prince Louis Photos for His 4th Birthday

Just like that, Kate Middleton and Prince William's youngest child Prince Louis turns four tomorrow, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge marked the occasion by sharing new photos of him,

taken by Kate of course. Louis appears in the photos barefoot on the beach. “4 years old tomorrow!” the Cambridges wrote on their Instagram, crediting the Duchess for the photos.

Louis was last seen out with Prince William walking their dog in March. “In London today... can you see who I found? Prince William enjoying the day before the royal tour with Prince Louis and their puppy,” royal fan Bojana wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of the two far off together with their pet, with Kensington Palace geo-tagged. Louis appeared to be on a scooter alongside William in a video shared.

Louis's life has been largely kept private. In November 2020, a source described him and his older sister Princess Charlotte as “cheeky” to Us Weekly.

“[Oldest brother Prince] George is well-behaved,” the source said. “All the kids are, but Charlotte and Louis both have a cheeky streak. Louis is more like Charlotte in personality than George!”

Kate spoke about Louis's tendency to end calls in a BBC interview during the height of the coronavirus pandemic and its quarantine. “It gets a bit hectic, I'm not going to lie,” she said of video calling their families. “With a two-year-old you have to take the phone away. It's quite hectic for them all to say the right thing at the right time without pressing the wrong buttons. But it's great and it's nice to keep in touch with everybody.”
