It isn't all that often that onlookers see Kate Middleton and the royal kids out in the U.K., off-duty, but over the last week, details about two different sightings have come
out in British publications. They collectively shed a little light about what the Duchess of Cambridge is like during her downtime.
Kate was first photographed getting ice cream with Prince George and Princess Charlotte in a London park. Kate wore a green leopard midi dress from Cefinn Studio, Hello!reports, with Russell & Bromley loafers and Ray-Ban sunglasses. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail. What kind of ice cream did the family get? Mr Whippy cones, per Daily Mail, which George and Charlotte were enjoying in the photo that surfaced of the trio.
Kate was then seen yesterday playing tennis with her children at Hurlingham Club, an exclusive sports club in London, per Hello!. She wore a white tennis skirt with a navy blue fleece there. Details didn't come out about how the family behaved, though Hello! specified that the onlooker who spotted Kate at the club was surprised she was there and described her as looking fit and like “an attractive young mum.”
Kate and her family have been seen out from time to time in the U.K.—and beyond sometimes, too. Us Weeklyrecently got unusually extensive detail about Kate and William's French ski trip with their children last week in Courchevel.
The family stayed at a friend’s “$5 million, six-bedroom chalet,” the source said, adding that Charlotte and George “had private ski lessons and practiced their French.”
“Kate and William feel it’s important for the children to be multilingual,” the source said. That source also detailed the kids' contrasting personality on the slopes. “Charlotte was racing down the mountain by the end of the holiday. She’s fearless!” the source said. “George was slightly more cautious, but they’re both great skiers and competed in fun brother/sister ski races. They had an absolute blast.”
William and Kate had a date night worked in too. “William and Kate managed to squeeze in a romantic candlelit date night before they left,” the source said. “It was just what they needed to ignite the spark after such a hectic couple of years.”
