Despite the iconic allure tied to classic blue denim, it’s quite a pollutant textile. So to challenge the garment’s impact on the environment, Gypsy Sport designer Rio Uribe has partnered with online luxury resale marketplace The RealReal to create a genderless collection of repurposed denim. Using signature denim treatments and Gypsy Sport appliqués, old items that wouldn’t otherwise be sold on The RealReal have been reimagined into pieces like jeans, jackets, corsets, a mini dress and more. They will be waiting for a new home on TheRealReal.com and in The RealReal’s Brooklyn store.

And the best part is that they’re fully circular. The zero-waste gloves are produced from recycled materials and are recyclable at the end of their life, so the only thing we need to question is, do sustainable opera gloves make fashion more dramatic, or less dramatic?
