Kate Middleton isn’t the only celebrity to wear a monochrome cream outfit today. In New York City, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney stepped out for a rare public appearance, dressed sharply
in a cream dress and matching coat. She wore her long brown hair down in waves.
While Amal and her husband George Clooney have generally kept a pretty low profile over the past couple years, George spoke glowingly about Amal to Marc Maron on the Nov. 15 episode of his WTF With Marc Maron podcast.
He called her “the most extraordinary, smart, brilliant, beautiful woman I’ve ever met,” adding that their spark “was nothing I’ve ever experienced before, by far,” via E!.
“Listen, I didn’t want to get married; I didn’t want to have kids. And then this extraordinary human being walked into my life and I just fell madly in love,” he said. “And I knew from the minute I met her that everything was going to be different.”
He continued: “I went out with a lot of really nice, smart and talented people. It’s just that every once in a while, there’s somebody that’s specifically for you. I feel like Amal and I feel that way.”
In March, Amal spoke to Time about her relationship with George, seven years into marriage. “Marriage has been wonderful,” she said. “I have in my husband a partner who is incredibly inspirational and supportive, and we have a home filled with love and laughter.”
