Styles and Wilde were first reported to be dating in January 2021. In late March, Entertainment Tonightreported the two remain very happy together and serious. “They’re well past the ‘crush’ and infatuation phase and are solid partners. They’re the real deal,” the source said.

“While they have busy schedules and a lot of personal commitments, they make a point to prioritize time with each other,” the source added. “They are pretty low-key and really just love spending time together along with their families and friends.”

Styles recently gave an interview to Better Homes and Gardenswhere he didn't touch on his romance with Wilde but did address his feelings navigating his love life in the public eye and some of the shame he used to feel.

During the pandemic, Styles realized he historically had become avoidant in his relationships and sought to change that. Before the pandemic, “whether it was with friends or people I was dating, I was always gone before it got to the point of having to have any difficult conversations,” he said. In confiding with others and doing his best to be a better friend, Styles gained a better understanding of what it is to feel home somewhere. “I realized that that home feeling isn't something that you get from a house; it's more of an internal thing. You realize that when you stop for a minute,” he said.

The time in quarantine also allowed Styles to reckon with the effects of being in a boy band, One Direction, and the way he hid his sex life. “For a long time, it felt like the only thing that was mine was my sex life,” he said. “I felt so ashamed about it, ashamed at the idea of people even knowing that I was having sex, let alone who with.”

“At the time, there were still the kiss-and-tell things,” he recalled. “Working out who I could trust was stressful. But I think I got to a place where I was like, why do I feel ashamed? I'm a 26-year-old man who's single; it's like, yes, I have sex.”
