November
Monthly Snapshot:
The world may feel totally out of order, but this month’s stars help you bring calm to any chaos in your life. With the Sun in Scorpio and your sixth house of health and organization until November 21, focus on the things you CAN change: your habits, the way you eat and move, the conversations you choose to engage in. That may sound small in comparison to the big issues happening in the world, but there’s truly never been a better time to prioritize self-care and reduce stress.
This month, three retrograde planets turn direct (forward): your ruler, Mercury, on November 3, Mars on November 13 and Neptune on November 28. Stalled projects and choppy relationships could get back on track. Contrast this to September, where SIX planets were retrograde and it took twice as long to accomplish half as much. By the end of this month, only one planet (Uranus) will be retrograde. Onward!
November 12 brings a huge turning point as the third of 2020’s rare Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions makes landfall in Capricorn and your intimate eighth house. Around April 4 and June 30, the prior two dates, an intense change could have come around a relationship, either emotional or financial. Making sense of it all has required a lot of soul-searching and truth-telling. This last Jupiter-Pluto connection might finally solve the mystery.
Partnerships become the theme for the next four weeks once the Sun enters Sagittarius on November 21. But get ready for a huge solo reveal on November 30, when a groundbreaking Gemini lunar (full moon) eclipse powers up your first house of self and appearances. You could debut a passion project or find yourself making a bold start down a new path. All eyes could be on you, so be ready for your closeup!
Week 1: November 1-8
Buh-bye, glitches!
Cast your ballot for the end of cosmic chaos! On Tuesday, November 3, your ruler, Mercury, turns direct (forward) at 12:50pm EST. If you’re bound for the polls, grab your mask and make an afternoon dash to vote. Then, return home to celebrate mischievous Mercury’s direct (forward) spin—and a steady return to smooth communication, glitch-free technology and the ability to make travel plans (within Covid limitations, of course).
Mercury’s been retrograde since October 13, backing through Scorpio and your health zone for the first two weeks. Since October 27, your galactic guardian has been reversing through Libra and your fifth house of romance, passion and self-expression.
That’s a double whammy of random potshots at your health and unfinished biz in the relationship realm. Has a romantic reunion been tempting you to revisit the past, or perhaps a long-simmering issue has come to the fore? Now’s your chance to start scripting the next chapter. Mercury’s forward motion will give a needed boost to any creative ventures where you’ve lost traction and help you keep drama at bay.
Week 2: November 9-15
Karma time
Intensity and intrigue: incoming! On Thursday, November 12, truth-teller Jupiter makes its third of 2020’s three connections to secretive Pluto. As these two planetary power players align in Capricorn and your intimate, mysterious eighth house, the last puzzle piece could finally be revealed. Have you been hovering on the fence about whether to fully commit to someone emotionally, financially or in some other binding way? Look back to April 4 and June 30, the prior Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions this year. Parts of this story have already been written, and now you’re ready for the final chapter.
Since Jupiter and Pluto only connect every 12 to 13 years, this is a big deal! A relationship that’s got the power to go the distance could finally cross that threshold. Or things could go the opposite direction and you may finally cut the karmic cord that’s kept you bound to a toxic or difficult person. But don’t blame it on that individual! This is a deeper energetic pattern, one that could span lifetimes or stem back to your early childhood. Focus on transformation at a core level so you don’t attract that same unwanted frequency into your life again.

Speaking of your inner circle, on Friday, November 13, energizer Mars wakes up from a two-month nap in Aries. Since September 9, the red planet’s been retrograde in your eleventh house of collaborations and technology, causing tension to spike in both IRL and virtual group settings. From frustratingly endless Zoom conference calls to friction in friendships, this backspin tested Team Gemini. If you have been biting your tongue or unable to identify what’s really been troubling your ties, Mars’ forward move will help you clear the air and get your squad back on track.
Meantime, how about a health check-in? On Sunday, November 15, the year’s only Scorpio new moon beams in your sixth house of wellness and organization. Schedule those doctor’s appointments (even if you have to do them via tele-health), bring some green and clean eating back to your plate and reboot your exercise program. The gym may be closed, but there’s nothing stopping you from heading out for a hike or brisk walk, even if you have to bundle up. Load up your phone with some new playlists and add some dance breaks to your day. Or stock up on audiobooks so you can learn while you burn. No time to finish an entire tome? Week 3: November 16-22
Relationship reset
Keep your stress levels in check on Tuesday, November 17, when mental Mercury (your ruler) opposes unstable Uranus across your axis of well-being. Someone could push your buttons and trigger an explosive reaction. Or you could get an icy, passive-aggressive response to one of your best ideas—not the reaction you were expecting. WTH?! Perhaps serendipitously, it’s also National Unfriend Day—so you may just want to stay off social media and politely reschedule your meetings and pitches for another day.
Friends and lovers will be heavily on your mind on Saturday, November 21, when the Sun glides into Sagittarius and your relationship sector for a month. If you’re the type of Twin who likes to plan ahead, this would be a nice time to get a jump on your holiday plans or gift lists. You’ll be especially thoughtful, so tend to your ties and prioritize the people who always have your back. Start gearing up for the November 30 Gemini lunar eclipse, when a big opportunity might call for you to quickly assemble a dream team.
Week 4: November 23-30
Re-energize your goals
This week is by far the most important one for you this month. For starters, on Saturday, November 28, foggy Neptune rouses from a five-month retrograde through Pisces and your career sector. If your ambitions have been adrift since June 22, or you’ve been rethinking big plans and life direction, you’ll be able to clarify your goals once again. Here’s hoping Neptune’s backspin also allowed you to do some helpful soul-searching that will inform your next big moves!
A seismic shift arrives on Monday, November 30, when a Gemini lunar (full moon) eclipse puts YOUR most cherished priorities on center stage. A solo venture or huge life change will be catalyzed by these momentous moonbeams. Have you been wanting to move to a new city, launch a business or set off on your own? Lunar eclipses sweep away what no longer serves us and makes it impossible to ignore what our hearts truly want.
This is the first Gemini eclipse in a series that will touch down on the Gemini/Sagittarius axis between June 2020 and December 2021. Look back to the Gemini new moon on May 22 and also the Sagittarius lunar eclipse on June 4 of this past year for clues of what may materialize now.
LOVE & ROMANCE:
Love planets Venus and Mars are in opposite signs this month, which can play out like you and your love interest are sparring at times while feeling irresistible attraction at others. Through November 21, Venus is in Libra and your fifth house of romance, where she’s pumping up the passion and turning up the heat.
Across your chart, Mars is in Aries (for the rest of the year), activating your eleventh house of casual connections and technology. On November 13, the red planet will wrap up a retrograde that began September 9, but until he does, the first half of November could be tense, with some inner-circle drama or online dating duds. And with the planets d’amour at loggerheads, YOU might run hot and cold, one minute craving that epic Venus romance—even experiencing flashes of jealousy and possessiveness—and the next, all you can think about is how to get more personal space and autonomy. When the two meet in an exact 180-degree opposing angle on November 9, things might come to a head, one way or another.
Venus is not only in your theatrical fifth house, but the galactic goddess will get into cosmic clashes with Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn AND Uranus later this month, suggesting that you won’t be able to keep ignoring certain topics or areas that are constant sources of frustration. Feelings can mount to near obsessive levels, and it’ll be hard to keep your composure. Things should settle down a bit starting November 21, when Venus moves into Scorpio and your healthy and systematic sixth house until December 15. Balance will become your new mantra, and you can look forward to less drama, clearer boundaries and better communication.
Key Dates:
November 1: Mercury-Saturn square
Here you go again? This is the second of three squares between chatty Mercury and cautious Saturn in 2020—and this time Mercury is retrograde. An important message may finally get clear. Hold off on any big debuts until things are 100 percent ready. While Mercury in your effusive fifth house wants you to be an open book, timekeeper Saturn knows the value of waiting for the perfect moment. A little restraint goes far!
MONEY & CAREER:
Misunderstood no more! On November 3, the stars cast a ballot for better communication as your ruling planet Mercury ends a three-week retrograde backspin that’s been messing with your technology and interactions. And when motivator Mars also curtails a two-month retrograde November 13, a team project really picks up speed. Between now and January 6, look for exciting collaborations that will put everyone’s goals on the fast track. With Mars heating up your tech-savvy eleventh house, a virtual collab could really go far. Hop on an Instagram Live together or start collecting ideas in a shared Trello board.
When lucky Jupiter and potent Pluto unite this November 12 (for the third and final time), your long-term finances are in the spotlight. Is it time to make an investment you’ve been putting off—or perhaps to call a joint venture off? Take this last moment of insight to consider who you’re aligned with Gemini, and if the exchange of energy feels fair or draining.
You’ll feel even clearer about your career path on November 28, when hazy Neptune ends a five-month retrograde that may have caused you to drift off course. But the kicker arrives on November 30, when a rare Gemini lunar eclipse puts YOU in the spotlight. As concerned as you’ve been with your partnerships and colleagues, the fired-up full moon reminds you that you’re more than enough to be a stellar solo act.
Key Dates:
November 12: Jupiter-Pluto meetup
Keep your freedom or make it official? Restless Jupiter and entangling Pluto make their third and final union of 2020—in your eighth house of merging, shared property and joint ventures. Since as far back as two other meetups, on April 4 and June 30, you may have been considering an investment. But will this offer bring more breathing room or leave you feeling suffocated? Today’s insightful alignment can deliver the info you need to make that judgment call.
