This video of Kamala Harris in running clothes while on the phone with her running partner is the best thing to come out of today.

"We did it. We did it, Joe. You're gonna be the next president of the United States," she said, laughing happily, as she says it out loud.
This is the best thing ever: She's got her sunglasses on and her earbuds in hand as she realizes that she's going to the first woman and woman of color to be the vice president of the United States.
After a nail-biter of an election week, hundreds of memes about Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, hours upon hours of watching MSNBC's Steve Kornacki hug a giant map and obsess over ballot math until he was forced to take a break, we finally have a winner of this election.
Besides this video of Harris, there have been many glorious moments this afternoon. Just scroll through Twitter to see the number of celebrations happening across the country. Folks in masks are out in the streets with their air horns, various brass instruments, signs, Pride flags, and more. Some people heard the sounds of screams and music in their neighborhood before they even got a news alert from The New York Times, the AP, or anyone else.
CNN just showed a bunch of people celebrating by doing the cha cha slide in atlanta and i’m so, so jealous

I was doing errands in red rural Maine when call came. As friends sent videos of whooping & honking elsewhere, grocery checker caught my eye. Thought she was offended I’d been (rudely!) looking at my phone. “Did we get a new president?” she whispered. Then she cheered too.

"America, I'm honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country," Biden tweeted in a statement today. "The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me."

There are plenty more amazing Twitter reactions where these came from (including reactions from celebrities), and trust me, they will keep coming.
