Khloé Kardashian may have secretly had COVID-19 months ago (and since recovered), but her family still does not appear to be taking the ongoing pandemic seriously enough to cancel one specific
party. Khloé answered some fan questions on her Twitter earlier this week, and she revealed that yes, the big Christmas Eve that the family has each year is still tentatively on. It won't be as big as usual, but they don't want to cancel it.
A fan wrote, "OMG i just realized..... is the Kardash/Jenner Christmas party getting cancelled this year ???? @khloekardashian"
Khloé responded, "I pray not! I think it will have to be way smaller obviously. And I’m totally fine with that! But we’re definitely celebrating Christmas! It will just have to be small and safe. Maybe do rapid testing before. We have to think of what is safest."
If the Kardashians do their Christmas Eve party, it will likely violate California's COVID-19 group gathering restrictions. The state advised residents that "gatherings that include more than 3 households are prohibited. This includes everyone present, including hosts and guests. Remember, the smaller the number of people, the safer."

The state also wrote that gatherings should be ideally outdoors and two hours or less, as COVID-19 spreads more easily inside. The Kardashians did not follow those guidelines when Kendall Jenner had her Halloween birthday party less than two weeks ago, if that's any indication of how they are likely to behave in December.

People on Twitter were not happy about Khloé's "out of touch" response, though many weren't surprised by it. Some nicely told her to just not have the party given so many people can't even see their families during the holidays at all because of the pandemic:
They haven't followed the rules so far, why start now? Rules apparently don't apply to the filthy rich. My son is sick now and I can't even see him. He took the COVID test on Saturday and he won't have results until Wednesday at the earliest.

Haha I love you, but you're so out of touch. Thinking of what is safest is maybe sticking to JUST family or maybe not have it at all? (Or do have it and don't post about it and then be upset at all the bad reactions you get, but we know that's not an option.)

I love you and you're a badass but the safest way to do it is to just not do it. That's no "safe" parties right now. And as someone who has had it, I thought you would be aware of that now and not be selfish and throw a party

Maybe not throwing multiple parties during a global pandemic is the safest and you’re too out of touch to realize? Just me? K

You know your fans don’t get to have Christmas with their families right? That most people are missing all the milestones this year cause of a pandemic? The selfishness of your fam is really shocking. Y’all keep throwing parties when the rest of the world is locking shit down.

what's safest is not throwing a party
