Rebel Wilson, 40, is making sure everyone gets their daily dose of sunshine. She posted to Instagram this morning about her favorite way to brighten up her day: a walk
and an audiobook.
"Started off having a bad day ? but took myself on a giant walk, listening to some motivational podcasts & audiobooks (currently [Anthony Middleton's] The Fear Bubble) out in gorgeous nature...drank water...and you know what feel soooo much better now," she captioned her leggings-and-crop-top outfit, which she overlaid with a prism filter. "We all have tough days but take a beat, take a nap and then get back out there and continue to crush ?"
Rebel's "Year of Health" project seems to be paying off in more ways than one. Aside from her fitness journey, Rebel is also working on feeling better, which she's attributed to a more balanced diet. Ironically, her COVID-19 home isolation in the spring helped her eat healthier.
“I definitely think with the slow down, it did help,” she told People. "I think I was emotional eating, and overeating at times, because I wasn't loving myself enough either. And it does come down to that self worth and self love." Before changing her diet, the Pitch Perfect star said she was eating 3,000 calories a day, "and because they were normally carbs, I would still be hungry,” she said. Now, she eats mostly protein. "I eat fish, salmon, and chicken breast.”
That said, she still indulges in fast food and dessert, but cuts her portions.
"I'm just trying to go for overall balance, overall healthy balance," she said. "I have this state of being, which is not my quote, but I go 'Nothing is forbidden.' We’ll be like, 'Should we get In-N-Out burger?' And I'm like, 'Nothing is forbidden.' I can go there, I just might eat half of what I used to eat before. You know? And I'll have a burger, and a few fries, and then you feel fine."
