Cardi B Says She 'Can't Even Be Sexy in Peace' When Her Toddler, Kulture, Crashes Her Video Selfie Moment

Every mom needs some alone time. The only problem is their children don't always agree. On Instagram, Cardi B posted a selfie video of her panning down her body in a

form-fitting top, shades, and green eyeshadow. She's clearly in the zone, getting all the angles just right, and using the amount of focus required for the perfect selfie.

And then..."Mommy?" a little voice, off camera, says. Cardi darts her eyes in the direction of the voice. "Yes?," she asks, breaking her pose. Then, we see part of Kulture's head as she leans into the camera.

Alone time over.

"I can’t even be sexy In peace ??‍♀️," she captioned the video.

It's pretty clear, though, that Kulture gets plenty of attention from her mom. Earlier this year, the rapper threw her daughter a lavish L.O.L. Doll-themed birthday party, complete with cocktails and face masks featuring the word "Kulture."

When she's not busy giving her daughter the best life a 2-year-old could possibly want, Cardi's been focused on her political activism by encouraging her fans to be civically engaged—all the way down the ballot. Ahead of the 2020 election, she spoke with ELLE for the September issue's cover story.

“Those people that he caters [to], he’s not going to do anything for them," she said. "It’s not like Republicans are getting better housing. It’s not like Republicans are getting better benefits. They’re not. He’s not doing anything for anybody. He's just saying things that appease the same people.” Cardi has a different vision. “I want a president who makes me feel secure. I want a president who understands the pain of the people. I want a president who is going to give us answers."
