With the release of Netflix's Selena: The Series, a new generation will learn about the rise of Tejano music icon Selena Quintanilla. She began as a talented Texas singer in her
family's band and went on to become a Grammy-winning sensation and artist behind hits including "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom." After her tragic murder in 1994 at the age of 23, her life was chronicled in a 1997 biopic starring Jennifer Lopez. This time around, The Walking Dead's Christian Serratos will don Selena's sequined outfits for the series. She's joined by an ensemble cast as Selena's support system, including her father Abraham, mother Marcella, husband Chris, and her siblings-slash-band members, A.B. and Suzette. In fact, the real-life Quintanilla family developed and executive produced the new Netflix show.
Here, see how the cast of Selena: The Series compares to their real-life counterparts.
