Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have kept details about their 12-year relationship largely private, but in a new interview with People, Blunt shared a little about his role in her life,
plus their time quarantining with their two daughters, six-year-old Hazel and four-year-old Violet.
"Having John's support is everything, because we are each other's confidant," Blunt said of her husband of a decade. "That shared understanding has really been a very vital anchor for me."
She credited their daughters as helping the couple make it through pandemic: "Being around little ones during the pandemic was such a saving grace because they would just be bouncing around the house, and your job is to protect them from what is happening and make sure their life remains joyful," she said. "That was a pretty great lifeline for John and me during the pandemic, for sure."
Besides taking care of their children, Blunt and Krasinski have been cooking at home and binge-watching TV series like The Crown.
Back in March, Krasinski spoke glowingly about Blunt during a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight. (Blunt is the star of A Quiet Place Part II, which Krasinski directed and wrote.) "She is without a doubt the most tremendous actress of our time in my opinion," he said.
"She is the most incredible partner in writing and directing and set designs. She just has such good ideas," he added. "So I actually felt like I had my partner in all things on set, not just the best actress in the world. Anything I can think of, she makes 10 times better so that's a pretty good weapon to have on set."
