From making you look older to clogging your pores, makeup mistakes can be unappealing so it’s important to learn how to fix them. Now, I know some may roll their eyes

Makeup has been one of a woman’s allies since time immemorial. From instantly evening out your skin tone to highlighting your best facial features, there is almost nothing good makeup can’t do to amp your looks. While you leverage this trusted ally to enhance your beauty (as well as its other benefits), you want to avoid the mistakes that could sabotage your goal. So now that we are on the same page, maybe we can have a little talk on common makeup mistakes and how to fix them.
These common makeup mistakes are totally unacceptable and we need to fix them…
#1. Cakey makeup

Too much foundation gives off a vampire vibe (not in a good way). The point is, ease off a bit on applying too much foundation and any other beauty products on the face. There are ways you can fix cakey makeup, but to totally avoid it, either apply each product sparingly or try on a full-coverage fluid foundation.
#2. Sleeping with makeup on

You might be on a sleepover and have decided not to wipe off that makeup because like all your morning Insta posts, “I woke up like this” is the goal. If that temporary gratification is enough to shield you from a whole season of breakouts, then by all means.

#3. Merging eyebrows

Deep down, you knew we were getting to this. Merging eyebrows are one of the funniest makeup mistakes we see everywhere and given the fact that the brows are a significant part of your face, you don’t to be the center of attention for all the wrong reasons. To correct this, whenever you draw your brows, do not let the meet. They’re not a crossroad.
#4. Harsh lip liner

There were the days of lip gloss and black lip liner, but those days are far behind us. Instead of drawing a thin and noticeable line around your lips, it’s better to use a shade that matches the lipstick and blend it in correctly.
#5. Mismatched foundation

This appears like a person wearing a mask. It’s just absurd to see a light-skinned face and a totally different skin tone on the neck. The solution is to apply and thoroughly blend in the foundation on the ears, neck, and chest.
The right makeup is a confidence booster and you’ll be surprised how much this can up your selfie game. Makeup mistakes would definitely become a thing of the past.
