Here's How Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik Reacted When They Found Out Their Baby's Gender

Gigi Hadid purposely kept her pregnancy largely off social media, only sharing photos in the last months of herself as she prepared to give birth. But now that Gigi has given

birth, she and her mother Yolanda Hadid have been sharing throwback photos here and there of its big moments.

Today, Yolanda posted a photo of Gigi and her daughter's dad Zayn Malik when they found out their baby's gender. They did it with a cake reveal, naturally, and they were ecstatic.

"❤️This PINK baby news was the highlight of our year 2020.... Thank you mommy and daddy for this greatest gift @zayn & @gigihadid #Family #Memories," Yolanda wrote.

Gigi gave birth to their daughter at the end of September. The model has not shared her baby's name, although she has shared photos here and there of her and her child. (Like many celebrity parents, Gigi has purposely kept her baby's face covered to protect her privacy.)

Gigi explained on Instagram Live during her pregnancy why she chose to keep most of it offline. "Obviously I think a lot of people are confused why I'm not sharing more but like, I'm pregnant through a pandemic, like obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world," she said in July. "That's a reason that I felt that it's not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends. Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening. And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM [Black Lives Matter] movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that."

"I have been taking a lot of pictures of my bump and sending it to friends and family and it's been very cute and exciting and I'm trying to document it well because I've heard a lot of people say obviously make sure you don't miss it," she continued. "And I will be sharing stuff like that in the future. I just am not rushed to do it, and I feel like right now I just want to experience it ,and I write in my journal a lot, and I just don't want to worry about waking up everyday during my pregnancy and like worry about having to like look cute or post something and like so, a lot of questions were about that and I just wanted to do that."
