News broke yesterday that Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles are dating, surprising much of the internet as photos of them holding hands at Styles' manager's wedding came out alongside reports the
two have been romantically involved for a "few weeks." In the hours that followed, more sources came out and spoke to E!, People, Us Weekly, and Entertainment Tonight, and more outletsabout the two's relationship.
Some addressed how the two fell for each other while working on Don't Worry Darling, the film Wilde is directing and Styles is starring in. Others touched on Wilde's ex Jason Sudeikis and her relationship with him: The two ended their engagement in early 2020, but that was not reported until November.

Peoplebroke the news that Wilde and Styles are officially dating, giving a timeline. A source told the outlet, "They were in Montecito, California this weekend for a wedding. They were affectionate around their friends, held hands and looked very happy. They have dated for a few weeks."
Us Weeklywas told by a source that Styles has put a label on their relationship, calling Wilde his "girlfriend" in the speech he gave at the wedding. Styles officiated the ceremony. A second source told the outlet that the two "had chemistry almost instantaneously on set [of Don't Worry Darling]. It was only a matter of time before they got together.”
E! was told by a source that Wilde and Styles shared a hotel room together in Montecito during the wedding weekend and were "couple-y." A second source told the outlet that people in Wilde and Styles' inner circle have known about their dating for "several weeks." That source added during the wedding weekend, "They shared a room and did everything together. They had a great time and are very happy."
Page Six reports that James Corden initially helped Wilde and Styles keep their relationship secret, letting his friend Styles stay in his California home while Styles and Wilde were working on Don't Worry Darlingin nearby Palm Springs. “Harry had been staying at James Corden’s house near Palm Springs during filming, and so they were able to be alone and keep their relationship very secret," the outlet's source said. "So everyone was really surprised—and rather delighted—when Harry brought Olivia as his date to the wedding, and introduced her as his girlfriend.”
The Sun's source spoke to the outlet about what attracted the two to each other...and how unbothered Styles is about their 10-year age gap (Styles is 26, and Wilde is 36). “They clicked immediately—they’re both very artistic, passionate people and it was one of those things where straight away everyone could see they had a spark," the source said. That source added, “Clearly they’re enjoying themselves and the age gap really isn’t a thing.
