Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles, 2021's first surprise new couple, aren't trying to hide the fact they're dating. The two were photographed out in Santa Barbara this Sunday, with Styles putting
his arm around Wilde and generally being affectionate. He wore a pink beanie, bandana, and black hoodie. She wore a tan argyle sweater, white mask, and dark brown pants. You can see them below:
Peoplereported earlier this week that Wilde and Styles have been dating for a few weeks now. A source told the outlet yesterday that their romantic connection seemed to be inevitable from when they first started working together on Don't Worry Darling. Wilde is directing and acting in the film; Harry is starring in it.
"What started out as a close friendship, quickly turned romantic," the outlet's source said. "Everyone saw it coming. During breaks, he's hasn't been able to stay away and visited her trailer."
Entertainment Tonightreported on Monday that Wilde and Styles have been careful dating as they continue to work together on the project. "[Olivia] wouldn't let a romantic relationship get in the way of a professional one, so anything they're doing is being done thoughtfully," the outlet's source said.
That source added that Wilde split from her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis in early 2020. "So it's not like she's rushing into something," the source said. "Olivia and Jason talk all the time and are still close because of the kids [the couple shares two children, Otis, 6, and Daisy, 4]. It's highly unlikely he was blind-sided by this news."
Wilde and Styles were first photographed holding hands at his manager's wedding this past weekend. Shortly after the photos were published, multiple outlets reported the two were dating.
