Watch Blue Ivy Carter Dance Better Than You in This New Video of Her in Dance Class

Beyoncé's Grammy-nominated daughter Blue Ivy Carter turned nine years old on January 7, and over the weekend, her grandmother Tina Lawson shared a rare new clip of Blue showing off her

dance skills. Blue appears dancing to Ciara's "Gimmie Dat" in the clip. And of course, the girl who has essentially been a pop star in training since age 3 has an incredible sense of rhythm. Just watch her move:

"Thi[s] is Blue but I swear it looks like Solange dancing at this age ❤️," Lawson captioned the video, comparing Blue to her aunt Solange, Beyoncé's younger sister who is also a renowned musician.

Dancing is not Blue's only talent. She's also a gifted makeup artist, as her grandmother has proved on her Instagram before. In the fall, Lawson showed off how Blue does costume makeup. "My Blue is a great make up artist ! She made me into Grandma Skeleton !!❤️❤️" Lawson wrote.

Lawson spoke about how talented Blue was at age seven, doing "perfect" cat-eyes then. "I've bought Blue so many makeup kits, much to her dad's dismay!" Lawson told Entertainment Tonightat BeautyCon Festival LA in August 2017. "But it's just for playtime. We have fun!"

Blue is "quite the makeup artist," Lawson continued. With eye makeup especially, "she puts stones and does all this fancy stuff. She can do a perfect cat eye. She's a little artist."

As drawn as Blue is to dancing, singing, and doing makeup, Lawson said in November 2018 that Blue hasn't quite committed to following her mom's footsteps and becoming a professional performer.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Lawson admitted that Blue has been performing "since birth" because "how could be in this family and not sing?" Still, “[she] hasn’t decided yet” if she'll go into the business. She was taking dance lessons then though.
