The end of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's six-year marriage appears to be fast approaching, according to People. The outlet reported on Monday that the couple, who had been trying to
salvage their relationship in marriage counseling, has "completely" stopped going.
"[West] is talking to divorce lawyers this week," the source added.
Kardashian has been working with divorce attorney Laura Wasser. A source told People on Jan. 5 that Kardashian filing for divorce "will happen eventually, but she’s waffling."Page Six, which broke news of the couple's imminent split that same day, reported the two "are in settlement talks.”
People had also reported that Kardashian hadn't made a final decision on divorcing West but the two had been trying to repair their relationship in private for some time. "Kim and Kanye are in counseling and exploring their options," a source said. "They have been working on their marriage for a long time, but no decision has been made."
As more time elapsed, tabloid sources have indicated that the couple splitting is more likely than not to happen. Entertainment Tonight reported last Monday that "Kim is focusing on the new year and a lot of amazing things that are coming her way," the outlet's source said. "Kim has tried everything she can to make things work with Kanye but it’s not working. Kim has held on to the relationship in hopes of a change and for the sake of the kids, but all signs are pointing to divorce."
On Jan. 13, Peoplewas told by a family source that "Kim and Kanye's marriage is beyond repair. Kim is over Kanye's chaos, and at this point she just wants to focus on the kids and her own life."
A TV industry source added in a People story published a day later that "the love story between Kim and Kanye has been over for a long time, more than a year. They adored each other but have too many differences."
