Orlando Bloom gave his Instagram followers an up close look at one of his and Katy Perry's most intimate moments: the first few seconds after Perry finished her performance of "Fireworks"
during inauguration night and President Joe Biden's Celebrating America special. Bloom filmed Perry singing, then once she wrapped, he walked up to her, kissed her, and congratulated her.
"That was awesome, baby," Bloom told her. "Great job, baby."
The two kissed, and then Perry told Bloom, "I love you."
Bloom posted an emotional caption with the video, reflecting on how much the performance meant to him and how proud their newborn daughter Daisy will be when she's old enough to watch it and understand the significance of the moment. "One day our little girl will grow up and see her mother play her part in a moment in history that we hope will heal, we hope will unite, we hope, we love ❤️" Bloom wrote. "One proud partner here with a tear of joy ????"
Perry and Bloom both wore Thom Browne for the Celebrating America event at the Lincoln Memorial, where Perry sang. Perry, according to the design house, was in a custom "white cashmere coat with navy silk satin covered buttons, a white duchess silk satin corset, and matching floor length skirt with red silk satin buttons."
Bloom, the design house added on its Instagram, was in a custom "navy super 120s wool suit, silk tie and classic brogues."
Perry and Bloom welcomed their first child together, baby girl Daisy, back in August.
