Halsey's next big project is becoming a mother. The Grammy nominee is expecting her first child with screenwriter and film producer Alev Aydin, she revealed on Instagram. Halsey, 26, shared the
news on Wednesday in a series of photos shot by photographer Sam Dameshek. Her baby bump is on full-display as she wears a stringy, rainbow-colored top and destructed denim.
"surprise! ???? Photos by @samdameshek," Halsey captioned the post, tagging Aydin in the first picture. He also shared the post to his Instagram Story, adding a pair of red heart emojis.
Halsey has previously gotten candid about experiencing a miscarriage while on tour in 2015. She told The Guardian in February 2020 that it was the "most inadequate I've ever felt," adding, "Here I am achieving this out-of-control life, and I can't do the one thing I'm biologically put on this earth to do. Then I have to go onstage and be this sex symbol of femininity and empowerment? It is demoralizing." However, Halsey maintained that becoming a parent was "looking like something that's gonna happen for me. That's a miracle."
The singer's possible relationship with Aydin has been kept under wraps. Most recently, Halsey was linked to Yungblood after some flirty social media activity in March 2020. She split with Evan Peters right around that time after several months of dating. Before then, Halsey had a high-profile relationship with G-Eazy prior to their 2018 breakup. In her pregnancy reveal, Halsey didn't disclose her due date.
