Beyoncé's nine-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter has long been interested in makeup, with her mom first showing Blue experimenting with cosmetics in 2016, when she was just four. Those skills have
evolved a lot over the last five years, to the point where Blue has mastered the cat eye in a way even some adults haven't. Her grandmother Tina Lawson shared a photo of Blue's latest work on her, including her perfect eye liner work.
"My talented granddaughter Blue made up my face today," Lawson wrote. "She is only 9 years old can you imagine her at 15 doing my makeup? She Beat My Face ❤️ Gonna save me a lot of money on make up artist fees ?❤️"
Here's Blue when she first dabbled with makeup in 2016:
And here's how her skills are today:
This isn't the first time Lawson has shown off Blue's work. During Halloween, Lawson posted a photo of the costume makeup Blue did on her. It was excellent, of course. "My Blue is a great make up artist !" Lawson captioned that Instagram. "She made me into Grandma Skeleton !!❤️❤️"
Lawson boasted about Blue's eye makeup skills in interviews before. In August 2019, Lawson revealed Blue could do a perfect cat eye then, at just age 7: "I've bought Blue so many makeup kits, much to her dad's dismay!" Lawson told Entertainment Tonightat BeautyCon Festival LA. "But it's just for playtime. We have fun!"
Blue is "quite the makeup artist," Lawson added, especially when it comes to eye makeup. "She puts stones and does all this fancy stuff. She can do a perfect cat eye. She's a little artist."
