Despite Los Angeles COVID-19 cases exceeding 1 million, and Kylie Jenner and her sisters just returning from a girls' trip abroad, Kylie decided not to quarantine and follow Los Angeles'
Kylie and her sisters posted many photos of the party on their Instagrams, so they weren't trying to hide the fact that it happened. The girls did avoid posting photos with people in them, generally. But Caitlyn Jenner's close friend Sophia Hutchins didn't: She shared a shot revealing the kind of crowd there—and that people weren't wearing masks.
Did they all get tested before hand? Maybe (though the sisters, newly returned from their Turks and Caicos trip, definitely didn't quarantine for two weeks before the party). But a mask mandate is still in effect, Los Angeles county and its hospitals are in crisis because of the extraordinary number of COVID cases there, and tests aren't 100 percent accurate.
This isn't the first party the Kardashians have thrown during COVID—or the first time they have generated controversy for ignoring the ongoing coronavirus pandemic by going on vacation or having parties (or when they rented a private island to throw a party for Kim Kardashian's 40th birthday and did both).
Stormi's birthday looked like a typical Kardashian-Jenner shindig, with Kylie going all out for her daughter. There was castle seating, a multi-tiered cake, a Stormi slide, a food truck, a sweets stand, a crafts stand, a life-size Cinderella carriage made from balloons, and Stormi "third time's a charm" shirts.
Stormi wore two gorgeous princess dresses for the party, while Kylie was in a giant orange puffer coat and wore her hand in a Rapunzel-esque embellished braid.
