When reports first came out in January about Kourtney Kardashian dating musician Travis Barker, a source made clear to E! that Kardashian's single ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, the father of her three
children, was not bothered by their dating and was very happy for his ex. Entertainment Tonight's source is telling a different story now though, as more time has passed.
A source told the outlet that actually, Scott is envious of Barker. "[Scott] is definitely a little jealous [of Barker's relationship with Kardashian]," the source said. "Scott does know that he has the upper hand being the father of Kourtney’s kids and that they still have an incredibly special bond, and no one can come between that. Their history together and love for each other can’t be touched by anyone else, and they both know that.”
The source's comments stand in contrast to what E! was told in late January. E!'s source said that Disick and Kardashian had privately come to terms with their relationship not working romantically. “[They] are in a great place and they have come to terms that they are strictly friends and co-parents," the source said. "There's no romance there, and he couldn't be happier that she's moved on. As long as the kids are in a healthy situation and Kourtney's in a good place, then Scott is happy for them [Kardashian and Barker]."
E!'s source even added that Disick personally approves of Barker. "Scott has been around Travis on several occasions and thinks he's a great guy," the source said. "He's really happy for Kourtney and is not surprised they are dating. Kourtney has spent a lot of time with Travis and it's not shocking to him that they developed a romantic relationship."
Before Kardashian and Barker started dating, Disick made headlines for being flirty on his ex's Instagram. When Disick ended things with his then-girlfriend of three years, Sofia Richie in June 2020, a source told Us Weeklythat Kardashian was part of the reason Richie and Disick broke up. “Scott is always going to be in love with Kourtney, and that’s something Sofia has had to face since even before she got serious with him," the source said. "It’s been an ongoing thing. It just became more apparent that his family was more of a priority than she was, and his family would be his main priority over anything and anyone.”
