Sleep is important. But a great mattress can be wildly expensive. "If only I could see all of the best mattress deals in one place," you've surely thought to yourself while
tossing and turning through another sleepless night. Well! We read your mind, fine-tooth-combed the mattress internet, and created such a destination. Thanks to the Presidents' Day deals bonanza, a bunch of our favorite mattresses and top-rated cheap mattresses are seriously marked down at the moment. Below, all the best mattress deals and sales you can score right now.
Helix
Helix Midnight Luxe hybrid mattress (was $1,849, now 11% off with code "PRESDAY20")
Thankfully, GQ staffers' all-around favorite mattress is included in Helix's sliding-scale Presidents' Day sale. Through the weekend Helix is knocking $200 off the luxe hybrid and including a set of the company's dream pillows for free (just drop the code “PRESDAY20” at checkout). The company's cheaper mattresses are also on sale, but they don't come with as big of a discount.
Tuft and Needle
Tuft & Needle Original mattress (was $595, now 10% off)
Tuft and Needle is running a sliding-scale promotion through the weekend that will get you 15% off its Mint and Hybrid mattresses and 10% off its Original mattress. The Original is among the best we've tested in the under $600 range.
Leesa
Leesa Hybrid mattress (was $1,699, now 15% off)
Almost all of Leesa's mattresses are discounted during the brand's President's Day sale. The best buy is their hybrid, which clocks in at $250 off if you're getting the Queen size. But if you want the cheaper original mattress or the more decked out “Legend” mattress, you can get up to $200 or $400 off, respectively, depending on the size.
Allswell
Allswell mattress (was $375, now 15% off with code "PRES21")
Allswell rarely discounts its super basic mattress, which we think is the best option in its line. This weekend however, you can use the code “PRES21” to get 15% off. You could also use that code to get the company's more expensive Luxe or Supreme mattress, but in those price ranges, you're likely better off with one of the other beds on sale this weekend.
Casper
Casper "Wave" mattress (was $2,595 now 15% off)
Casper's mattresses are almost always on sale, and this week we can thank the company's “Stay in Bed” offer for the discounts. All mattresses are 15% off, except for the low-end Element mattress which is 10% off. After our most recent round of 2021 testing, the Wave remains our pick for Best Supportive mattress. The Element is our new favorite under $600 option.
Awara
Awara hybrid mattress (was $1,599 now 19% off)
Awara's Hybrid mattress is one of the best supportive mattresses we've tested. The company's mattresses are relatively simple, without the different sleep zones you'd get from something like the Casper Wave, but that isn't a bad thing. The result is something a bit more cloud-like, something our tester called “soft, yet sturdy.” The company's current promotion drops the price by a full $300 and sweetens the pot with $500 worth of other bedding gear. Plus, the company says they will plant 10 trees. Pretty good!
Avocado
Avocado latex mattress (was $1800, now 11% off with code "FLAG200")
The Avocado mattress comes with a pretty sophisticated design, especially when compared to other “Organic” mattresses. The mattress isn't quite as supportive as something like the Casper Wave or Leesa Legend, but it provides plenty of density for more sleepers to rest comfortably. This weekend, you get $200 off with the code “FLAG200.”
Birch
Birch mattress (was $1,500, now 13% off with code "PRESDAY200")
Birch's mattresses are designed and sold by Helix, but with a focus on using more natural materials. They're great for anyone who wants a plush mattress made with eco-friendly materials. Right now the company is offering the mattress for $200 less than usual, with code “PRESDAY200." Plus, you guessed it, two free pillows.
Purple
Purple mattress (was $1150, now 8% off)
Purple's mattresses are weird, featuring their proprietary polymer arranged like a netted egg crate. Most people agree that they are comfortable, but lless supportive than more conventional mattress designs. If you like memory foam mattresses, but want to sink in just a little bit less, you'll like the Purple mattresses. The sale will get you up to $350 off some of its mattresses, but only $100 on the one that we like the most.
Brooklyn Bedding
Brooklyn Plank mattress (was $1,250, now 25% off with code "PRESIDENTS25")
All of Brooklyn Bedding's relatively cheap mattress and bedding are on sale through the weekend for 25% off with code “PRESIDENTS25”. We've tested and like the company's extremely firm “Plank” mattress. That mattress is not for everyone, but if you've embraced basically sleeping on concrete, this is the mattress for you.
Cocoon by Sealy
Sealy Cocoon mattress (was $1080, now 35% off)
This mattress is made with hot sleepers in mind. The top layer is a stretch-knit cover that absorbs heat. It's currently 35% off and comes with a set of pillows and sheets.
DreamCloud
DreamCloud hybrid mattress (was $1200, now 17% off)
We haven't tested them ourselves, but most reviewers say that DreamCloud's mattresses are decent, especially if you want something with a super plush top feel. In addition to a discount on the mattress, buying during the sale will get you a free mattress protector, sheet set, and a pair of pillows.
Nest Bedding
Nest Bedding "Alexander" hybrid mattress (was $1,500, now 20% off with code "PREZZZDAY")
We've never tested Nest Bedding's mattresses, but other online reviews generally rate them well. All of the company's offerings are 10% off during the company's Presidents' Day sale, though you have to use the extremely silly code “PREZZZDAY”. The Alexander is a medium-firm hybrid mattress that's pretty supportive, you shouldn't sink too far into it. It's best for combo sleepers that switch sleeping position through the night.
Layla Sleep
Layla Sleep hybrid mattress (was $1,700, now 12% off)
Layla Sleep is (mercifully) offering discounts without codes for its Presidents' Day sale. The company's Hybrid mattress is $200 off, and comes with 2 free memory foam pillows, a microfiber sheet set, and a mattress protector. You can also catch some dreamy savings on other bedside accoutrements like Layla’s kapok and memory foam pillows as well as its bamboo bed sheets.
Amerisleep
Amerisleep AS3 mattress (was $1,499, now 30% off with code "PRES30")
Amerisleep's mattresses are all 30% off through Monday if you use code “PRES30". We haven't tested any of their mattresses ourselves, but nearly all reviews say they run on the firm side. If that's what you like, go forth.
Zoma
Zoma mattress (was $950, now 16% with code "PRES150")
Zoma's four-layered mattresses are made specifically for athletes, designed with “recovery” in mind. This might not actually mean very much, but it does give the brand cover to bestow each layer of the mattress a wacky sneaker-esque name. (Triangulex™, Reactiv™, SUPPORT+, oh my!) But reviews of the mattress are generally positive, especially from side-sleepers who weigh less than 200 pounds. Both the company's all-foam mattress and hybrid mattresses are $150 off when you use the code “PRES150”.
Bear Mattress
Bear Hybrid mattress (was $1,390, now 20% off)
The Bear Mattress is another made with a focus on cooling. You can save 20% on any of its three mattress if you use code “SAVE20". Plus, Bear will toss in a pair of its Cloud Pillows and a mattress protector.
Saatva
Saatva classic mattress (was $1,400, now 14% off)
We haven't tested Saatva's hybrid mattresses, but reviews seem to indicate they have an extremely luxurious feel. The classic mattress is medium firm, but it still has a pretty thick top that you'll sink into a good bit. Not a bad thing! Right now, the company is giving you $200 off anytime you spend over $1000. No code necessary.
Zinus
Zinus iCoil hybrid mattress (was $528, now 20% off)
We prefer Zinus's Cooling Copper Adaptive mattress over this iCoil Hybrid mattress, but unfortunately only the latter is on sale. This mattress is a hybrid, but it's made from innersprings specifically designed to reduce motion transfer. That might make it an ideal option for someone who's partner always chugs a full Nalgene of water right before sleep.
