Curious what basically every celeb in the world was doing on Monday night? Turns out they, too, were watching Brandy and Monica's iconic three-hour Verzuz battle.
Of course, the battle was
already being billed as "historic" for bringing together the "The Boy Is Mine" singers who were known to have a fake-but-then-not-so-fake feud. (And yes, there were inevitably some awkward moments...) As some Twitter users pointed out, the comments section was crawling with blue checkmarks as celebs, including Michelle Obama, Missy Elliot, and Mariah Carey, chimed in throughout the event.

Just Jared also reported seeing comments from Queen Latifah, Keke Palmer, Ashanti, Lena Waithe, and more. However, there was one cameo that nobody missed: vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris. She popped by, wearing a Howard University T-shirt, to commend Brandy and Monica and Verzuz's partnership with When We All Vote.

"I just wanted to thank you ladies, you queens, you stars, you icons," Harris said. "Thank you for doing this for When We All Vote. It’s so important…You both used your voice in such a powerful way, and an extension of our voices is our vote." As part of the battle, Verzuz sold limited edition Brandy v. Monica merchandise with all proceeds going to When We All Vote.
Monica then responded, "We understand the importance of people getting out and voting. And they feel so helpless right now, but that's how you help yourself, you help your community, you help your brothers and sisters."
