2020 was a good year for green: Rolex put out a new Submariner with a Hulk-hued bezel and an Oyster Perpetual with a forest-y dial. Grand Seiko similarly released a watch
in what the brand called a “British racing green,” a shade that looks a lot like green-green. If Audemars’s new releases are any indication, 2021 is shaping up to be even greener.
Take it from Kermit: As the Pig Wife Guy once sang, “Green's the color of spring, and green can be cool and friendly like, and green can be big like a mountain, or important like a new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak release.” Okay, so maybe he didn’t exactly say the last part, but it works all the same.
Where and when to buy it: The fleet of green watches will be available in April exclusively at AP’s “Houses,” which are different from the brand’s boutiques: they are the brand’s exclusive club where customers can have a drink, a chat, some grub, and just maybe buy a watch (Customers just so happen to spend three to four times more in Houses compared to the traditional boutique, according to AP’s CEO François-Henry Bennahmias). Luckily for US customers, Audemars is planning on launching a “House” in New York this year.
