PVH Corp.-owned heritage brand announced on Wednesday the appointment of designer Willy Chavarria at Calvin Klein as senior vice
president of design for Calvin Klein North America and Global Essentials apparel, men’s.
Chavarria joined the company in late February and reports to Jess Lomax, executive vice president, global head of design. In this role, he is responsible for leading the conceptual vision and design of seasonal collections for the Calvin Klein North America Apparel and Global Essentials Men’s lines.
Chavarria launched his own label in 2015, which has seen collaborations with the likes of Kanye West, K-Swiss, Dickies, Hummel and others. Previously, he worked in men’s wear for brands such as American Eagle Outfitters, Ralph Lauren, Voler and Dickies Construct, as well as at the Yeezy label for over two years.
Calvin Klein parent company PVH also announced on Wednesday revenue of $2.1 billion in the fourth quarter ended January 31, 2021, representing a year-over-year decrease of 20 percent from $2.5 billion.
Calvin Klein has been heading in a new direction as it pivots to meet the style and social interests of the new generation. Most recently, the company named Jamaal Layne as its new executive vice president, global brand and North America marketing.
