1. DMX on life support after a heart attack
Rapper DMX has been hospitalized and on life support in White Plains, New York, his longtime attorney Murray Richman confirmed to the media on Sunday. DMX suffered a heart attack on Friday around 11pm at his home in White Plains and was taken via ambulance to a local hospital, where he was hospitalized and remains on a ventilator, Richman said. The attorney explained that he isn’t aware of the cause of the heart attack.
Richman hinted on Saturday evening that he has known DMX for 25 years and has been in contact with the rapper’s family all day. He said he is aware of the rapper’s medical prognosis, but declined to comment on it.
2. Nigeria: Don Jazzy reveals his former marital status
Popular music producer, Don Jazzyhas revealed that he got married to an American model, Michelle Jackson when he was 20 but got divorced two years after. Don Jazzy, who posted his wedding pictures to support his claim on Instagram and Twitter said his marriage to Michelle crashed because he made music his priority.
The Mavin boss said he is still in love with music and wouldn’t want to marry again only to mess it up a second time.
3. South Africa: Nasty C warns fans against fraud
Rapper Nasty C has warned fans of a fraudster parading social media using his name and image to ask fans to “borrow” him R3,000. The star took to Instagram this week to post a screenshot of a DM one fan got from a supposed “Nasty C” account, claiming he had reached his bank limit and needed to borrow R3k.“I’ll pay you tomorrow morning,” the scammer promises.
Nasty C warned his followers that if anyone who knows him falls for the scam, he would laugh. “If anyone of my actual friends fall for this I’m really just gonna laugh at you,” he captioned the post.
4. Over 60 dead dolphins washed ashore coasts of Ghana
About 60 dead dolphins have been sighted at the shores of Axim-Bewire in the Nzema East Municipality of the Western Region. On Sunday, April 4, it was reported that the sea creatures may have been poisoned in their natural habitat. This incident follows a similar one on Friday, April 2, 2021, when large species of fishes were spotted dead at the coastline of Osu and Keta.
Witnesses said the color of the sea has also changed due to pollution in recent times. In view of this, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is cautioning the general public to desist from consuming such products since the cause of death of these sea creatures has not been established.
5. Tottenham Hotspur defender, Davinson Sanchez suffers racist abuse on social media
Tottenham said they are “disgusted” after defender Davinson Sanchez was subjected to racist abuse on social media following Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Newcastle. The Colombian, 24, posted a picture of the abusive messages on his Instagram Stories after the match, with the words “Nothing changes.” Spurs said they want “social media platforms to take action.”
Sanchez is the latest footballer to be racially abused on social media. West Brom striker Callum Robinson was previously abused after Saturday’s win at Chelsea. His club have contacted West Midlands Police over the abuse, which was sent to Robinson on social media following the 5-2 victory.
