Inclusion Revolution is a series of images about inclusion, embracing diversity in front and behind the camera. The subjects of the photographs feature talents with disabilities, alternative appearances or are trans (non-binary) from Zebedee Talent.

Behind the camera, the photographer, David PD Hyde, was born with disabilities. As well to this, he grew up in two different countries with very different cultures. Using those experiences, he expresses this understanding in his photographic projects to bring a positive message.

“The idea behind this series is to give everyone a chance to shine, no matter who they are”.

David PD Hyde

PhotoVogue

"I met David PD Hyde through PhotoVogue, the photography platform that I founded 10 years ago. Although there are over 250,000 users from all over the world, despite the impressive amount of images we receive weekly, people with particular talent always standout, and David is one of them. He has vision and his aesthetic is becoming more and more refined over time, very clean, sleek and at the same time poetic. I think he's a really outstanding example of diversity behind the camera. It is very important to pay attention not only to the choice of the protagonists of the stories we tell but also to who tells them, from which perspective, with what kind of awareness.

I remember well the project for Gucci Beauty that we did together.
Among the models was Ellie Goldstein and the photos became viral, it is one of the projects I was involved in that I'm more proud of. In the past people with disabilities were always represented either with pity or in a heroic way, while I think that today finally things are starting to change and people with disabilities are not only protagonists of narratives about disability itself. There is still a lot to do, not only in fashion, and David is an important agent of a transformation that is much needed.

I have always tried to combine the concepts of ethics and aesthetics in my work and I believe that the responsibility for those who work with images is enormous. Especially today that the pictures are not limited to print media but go on the web, on social networks, and reach a much wider audience, not necessarily only people interested in fashion. Changing people's gaze means producing a cultural change, it's a domino effect".

Alessia Glaviano

Zebedee is a specialist talent agency created to increase the representation of people who have until now been excluded in the media, including people with disabilities or alternative appearances and trans/non binary.

“Disability is often left out of the diversity debate; we often receive briefs looking for ‘diversity’, but with no mention of disability, alternative appearances, or trans/non binary – and we want to change this. We want it to be the norm that REAL diverse media becomes commonplace and be the leaders of the Inclusion Revolution.”

I absolutely love to model and when I’m in front of the camera I am happiest. I love to shine, smile, show my outgoing personality and light up the room. Also I love to dance and perform.

I now class myself as an experienced model being the new Face of Gucci Beauty which was a campaign that launched in June 2020, this has now launched my career and I have gone global worldwide and I feel that I am an inspiration to others with disabilities.

I have made history books being the first model with Down’s syndrome to be used by such a massive brand. having modelled for many designer and high street brands from Gucci to Primark and have recently filmed Vogue Beauty Secrets.
