Ben Affleck and his back-on girlfriend Jennifer Lopez showed a united front yesterday when the two were photographed arriving hand-in-hand to Affleck’s Jimmy Kimmel interview taping. The couple complemented each other
in tan and light blue ensembles. Affleck wore a tan coat with a light blue dress shirt and navy pants, while Lopez wore a light blue coat, a gray sweater, jeans, a tan belt, and a light scarf. Her hair was styled in a sleek ponytail.
Their appearance came after Affleck trended on Twitter over his remarks about his ex-wife Jennifer Garner in his Howard Stern interview earlier this week. Comments were taken out of context by media outlets and people on social media, he told Kimmel on his show, and portrayed him as saying Garner was the reason for his alcoholism, which, in reality, was not at all the case.
As Affleck told Kimmel, “They said I had blamed my ex-wife [Jennifer Garner] for my alcoholism and that I was ‘trapped’ in this marriage, just made me out to be the worst, most insensitive, stupid awful guy. And I—look, I know people do this. I get it, me, I’m happy to be sad Batman, I’m happy to be Dunkin’ Donuts and the memes... Really, like, if it’s about my kids, I gotta just draw a line. I want to be clear: That’s not true. I don’t believe that, it’s the exact opposite of who I am, what I believe, and I would never want my kids to think that I would ever say a bad word about their mom. It hurts my feelings, man.”
