Justin Bieber has long been vocal about his hopes of becoming a father, so much so that he pulled a very public April Fools' prank about Hailey being pregnant two years
ago, which she promptly shut down. But now, Justin and Hailey want the world to know that they may be starting a family imminently. The Sunwatched a preview of Justin's new documentary Justin Bieber: Our World, which featured a scene where Justin asked Hailey if they could start trying for a baby at the end of this year. The Amazon Prime documentary follows Justin during his New Year's Eve concert, so the film was shot at the beginning of this year and end of last year.
Hailey had asked Justin about his hopes for 2021 in the doc. “To continue to set goals and have fun doing them, make sure I put family first,” he responded. “And hopefully we will squish out a nugget. At the end of 2021 how about we start trying?” The Sun wrote that Hailey was smiling as Justin made his baby comments.
The baby comment comes after TMZ shut down fan speculation that Hailey was pregnant at the Met Gala last month because Justin touched her stomach in some red carpet photos. Multiple sources close to the Biebers told the outlet that no, Hailey is not expecting. It was really just a pose.
In May 2021, a source told Entertainment Tonightthat the two aren't about to have any kids. Hailey in particular is focused on her modeling career. “Hailey is super focused on her career right now and isn't in a rush to have kids,” the source said. “Of course they have talked about their future and building a family together someday, but both of them are busy with work right now and Hailey really wants to build up her YouTube channel. The two of them are very supportive of each other.”
