deserves a spot in the books. We saw this last week as Black celebrities owned thier beauty in tasteful displays of character and sophistication.
The Looks
American singer, Monica Denise Arnold opted for a full glam look vibrating with the tones of the season. From nudes, to deep purple and a dust of brown, there was no shortage of inspiration. It features well detailed eyes comprising of a shimmering glide of gold shadow as well as a deep brown smoky effect. The entire look was finished off with deep purple lipstick that was a perfect contrast to her olive skin tone. This facebeat is undoubtedly a creative way to stick to the season’s tones.
When it comes to Black celebrities beauty looks that stay winning, a subtle facebeat is tried and trusted. Surely, Winnie Harlow understands this as the model faithfully serves soft glam week after week. At the American Music Awards, she opted for a toned-down look which featured softly-brushed brows and shadow. However, a little edge was incorporated into the look with winged liner. Now, that’s a way to amp up a soft glam.
Hair
If ever there was a protective hairstyle that’s versatile and stylish, it would be braids. This hairstyle has won the hearts of Black women over the years and Nigerian entrepreneur, Joy A can confirm. In the photoshoot for her new product line, she’s spotted in waist-length knotless braids with half-up, half-down styling. We certainly love.
