Androgyny is in. Gender fluid outifts tend to be bold and stand out from the norm which is why my picks aren’t simple, they will most-likely be the focus point

of your outfit. Gender norms are still valid in clothing but if like me you like to dress both masculine and feminine you will hopefully appreciate my picks. I like to dress both masculine and feminine, I also see myself as both feminine and masculine. Now that gender non-conformity is more embraced by the public we also have more gender non conforming style icons to inspire us.

I get my style inspiration from a variety of people and films such as Grace Jones, Annie Lennox, Prince, Dev Hynes, Brigitte Lundy-Paine, David Bowie, Jeremy O. Harris, Björk, Patti Smith, The Matrix (obviously), French New Wave cinema, Trainspotting, The Talented Mr. Ripley and many many more. Films are always a good place to start.

When picking outfits I like to achieve androgyny, I don’t necessarily do it by choosing gender neutral clothes but through balancing out masculinity with femininity. A sheer or crochet top with a pair of statement earrings and feminine bag will typically be matched with straight-leg trousers and loafers. A silk dress with lace up leather boots and a buzzcut. A suit and long curly hair. The options are endless.
