As consumers we cannot achieve true sustainability unless we vote with our pockets and support the brands that reflect our values. Below we’ve selected a range of products from eleven different sustainable and independent brands that we love.
The brands that we are spotlighting in this blog approach sustainability in different ways. KOY Clothing for example focuses on sustainability by empowering the communities of people around them. They do this by donating 50% of their profits back into the Kenyan communities that inspire their designs. Another brand we love, Guava & Gold approach sustainability through their waste strategy. All of their products are packaged in fully recyclable bottles, they also plan to adopt new bio-polymer bottles made from sugar cane extracts in the future!
So if you like the look of one of these brands we strongly encourage you to not only support them by purchasing their products, but also read up about them. We’re not saying that you need to purge your entire wardrobe and bathroom, but if you would like to incorporate a more sustainable practices into your daily routine, then supporting one of these brands is a great start!
