Digital fashion house The Fabricant has gained recognition in the discipline of designs thanks to its striking and experimental launches—its most recent release, a digital overcoat, will prove a continuation of the
brand's pioneering vision. The project is completed in collaboration with designer Toni Maticevski. The garment is called the 'Animator Overcoat' and the futuristic silhouette is an example of "unisex haute couture."
The Fabricant and Toni Maticevski introduced the concept of "digi-couture" with this release. The silhouette of the digital overcoat is characterized by spiky elements that communicate hostility. The designers derived inspiration from sea urchins for the detail to "carry a message about the perceived hostility of digital spaces."
Individuals were invited to virtually try on the Animator Overcoat at Australian Fashion Week.
