Classic Art-Inspired Watches - Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils Handpainted Reverso Tribute Collection (TrendHunter.com)

Swiss luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled its Reverso Tribute Enamel Hidden Treasures collection -- a concise capsule featuring a trio of handpainted watches that pay tribute to three classic artworks.

The

collection revistis Vincent Van Gogh's 'Sunset at Montmajour,' Gustave Courbet's 'View of Lake Léman,' and Gustav Klimt's 'Portrait of a Lady.' Each watch features a detailed recreation of these classic pieces in handpainted Grand Feu enamel, which is located on the back of each case. In addition, all of the watches are powered by Jaeger-LeCoultre's manually-wound Calibre 822/2 movement and feature black leather straps and white gold cases.

However, actually acquiring one of these artful timepieces should prove to be a difficult endeavor as Jaeger-LeCoultre has only produced ten of each version, making them extremely rare collector's items.
