'Ownever,' the ethical luxury handbag designer that focuses on upcycling and recycling materials, has debuted a small bio-leather accessory that allows consumers to personalize their handbags. The small accessory is named 'The
Own' and it is a minimalist bio-leather circle with a band to fasten it onto a handbag. The front of The Own allows for the engravement of one large letter, such as a name initial or letter with personal significance, while the back of the accessory allows for a word or short phrase to be engraved.
Most handbags from Ownever are created with 20% or more sustainable, upcycled materials, but are very minimalist. The Own allows consumers to express themselves more for the cost of 74 euros, or roughly $83 USD. The Own is 6.5cm in diameter and 20.5cm in height, which is approximately 2.5-inches x 8-inches.
