Hublot debuted the 'Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire' at the 'Watches & Wonders 2022' event. This timepiece features a synthetic purple sapphire casing that is translucent, allowing customers to peer inside
the innovative mechanisms of the watch. While many timepieces, particularly in the luxury sector, use traditional colors such as chromatic silver or matte black, this watch takes a bold stance in the other direction.
The Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire's shell, at first glance, appears like clear purple plastic reminiscent of children's toys and old entertainment devices such as Nintendo's GameBoy. Hublot set the MSRP for the watch at 200,000 USD, making it an ultra-luxury watch. This is due to the first-of-its-kind casing, the high-quality tourbillon, and the unique sapphire crystals visible throughout the case and dial.
