Pleated fashion is the focus of the luxe label Issey Miyake as it "explores what's quintessential to the Issey Miyake brand, nearly one year since the designer's passing." Titled 'Everyday, One of
a Kind, Now and Hereafter,' the striking capsule was showcased at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. The runway stunned guests with incredibly intricate and playful pleated garments in various colors that evoke nature as inspiration.
Some fashion experts noted that Issey Miyake's Spring/Summer 2024 capsule "wasn't revolutionary, nor was it dull." Rather, 'Everyday, One of a Kind, Now and Hereafter' struck a good balance between the two while revisiting its DNA. The plated fashion line by Issey Miyake featured meticulously crafted legwear, jackets, skirts, and shirts.
